At TSPickleball, we are passionate about sharing the love for pickleball. We aim to create a thriving pickleball community here in Ljubljana, offering a space where locals and tourists alike can enjoy playing, learning, and growing together. Whether you’re a tourist looking for an exciting activity or a local resident eager to try something new, we have something for you – including pickleball for kids! We believe that pickleball is a great way for children to get active, learn valuable skills, and have fun with friends.
Meet the coaches
Originally from Serbia, Teodora and Sandra spent 18 years in the USA, where they played professional tennis and both sisters coached for over 10 years at a prestigious country club. Over the past two summers, Teodora had the opportunity to assist top pickleball professionals like Colin Jones and Dekel Bar during pickleball getaways. With extensive experience working with kids and adults the sisters are passionate about making pickleball accessible to all ages. As former Division 1 athletes and ambassadors for global pickleball brands, they bring a wealth of experience in both competitive play and coaching. After introducing pickleball at their country club in 2018, they are excited to bring their love for the sport to Ljubljana, aiming to create both small and big pickleball legends.
Teodora Zonich
Hi, I’m Tea
I’m a tennis coach turned pickleball enthusiast with over a decade of coaching experience. Originally from Serbia, I spent 18 years in the U.S., where I discovered my passion for pickleball. In 2018, I introduced the sport to the country club where I coached, helping it become one of Houston’s top pickleball destinations. Alongside my sister Sandra, I’m on a mission to bring pickleball to Ljubljana. Our goal is to make this exciting sport accessible to everyone and foster a vibrant, inclusive pickleball community in the city.
When I’m not on the court, I’m traveling, meeting new people, and enjoying life as a proud mom of two. I’m thrilled to share my love for pickleball and help make Ljubljana an active, dynamic city.
Sandra Spirta
Hi, I’m Sandra
My journey in the world of sports began in Serbia, where I picked up a tennis racket at the age of six and quickly discovered my passion for the game. By the ages of 10, 12, and 14, I was proud to hold the number one ranking in my categories.
A few years later, I moved to the United States, which became my home for over 15 years. I thrived in Division I college tennis and eventually took my skills to the prestigious Houston Country Club, where I worked as a tennis coach. It was there that I discovered pickleball, a sport that immediately captured my heart. My enthusiasm for pickleball was contagious, and I couldn’t help but start teaching it to others.
In 2019, my family and I relocated to beautiful Slovenia. Watching pickleball become the fastest-growing sport in the USA has inspired me to introduce this incredible game to Ljubljana and it’s vibrant community. I firmly believe that pickleball is a sport for everyone, transcending age and experience. I’m so excited to share the joy and connection that pickleball brings with everyone I meet on the court!
